〔記者黃鐘山／台中報導〕今年是解嚴30週年，文化部「白色恐怖時期不義遺址」巡迴展台中場今天開幕，呈現戒嚴時期「政治犯」被刑求逼供、軍法審判等流程。副市長林依瑩說，盼讓年輕世代回顧歷史，珍惜自由民主得之不易。

文化部國家人權博物館籌備處主辦「715解嚴30週年」系列活動，策劃「『台灣監獄島』：白色恐怖時期不義遺址特展」，串聯台中、綠島人權文化園區，及巡迴全台6縣市展出45處不義遺址，希望讓民眾認識白色恐怖時期傷痛的歷史。

台中展出內容規劃台中當地5位白色恐怖政治受難者的生命故事，包括張常美、蔡寬裕、蔡鐵城、蔡焜霖及作家楊逵，讓參觀者探尋當時刑求逼供、軍法審判、監禁或槍決的空間，了解台灣白色恐怖時期，政治案件的處置流程。

林依瑩表示，許多前輩遭受白色恐怖沉重的苦難，舉辦不義遺址展覽讓人重新回顧現場，體悟台灣民主如同空氣一樣重要，希望大家踴躍參觀，了解歷史錯誤有所警醒，也希望藉此讓年輕世代回顧歷史，珍惜當今的自由及民主。

台灣戒嚴時期政治受難者協會理事長蔡寬裕說，白色恐怖讓每個人都沒有安全感，世界上最大的監獄是「恐懼」，如果每個人心裡有恐懼就等於在坐牢；現代年輕人往往無法體會人權民主的可貴，盼藉此展鼓勵年輕人珍惜得來不易的人權價值。
